9 lessons I learned my first month mom’ing

04/01/2023

I firmly believe we are the experts of our lived experience

AND we aren’t really hyped up to see ourselves that way

merp

i don’t remember what I was told to expect as a new mom, I feel like I’ve lived so many lifetimes since then

and you likely feel the same way too

I bet you have some lessons learned that make you the greatest parent for your little one, so why not take a moment to recognize your badassness, take up some space, and be your full ass self

I’ll go first! During my first month of caring for my baby AND myself, I learned:

  1. have a diaper caddy on each floor
  2. ask a friend to coordinate mealtrain
  3. let go of control, aim to connect
  4. sleep isn't the only way to rest
  5. ask questions early and often
  6. believe that you're doing a good job
  7. frustration happens, forgive yourself
  8. you get to decide what selfcare is
  9. celebrate any and all wins & POOPS

What are your lessons learned?!

Here’s a sneak peak of page 16 of the Body, Bottle, Breast Digest where you can see my lessons learned and celebrate your own!

With love and liveliness,

Lori
